Navigator-112 is semi-displacement motor cruiser for inshore and inner waterways cruising, same as the first model Navigator-111.
The boat has original hull form and construction, rather narrow waterline beam with bottom bulb, where located the engine and the fuel tanks. It gave the lower water resistans and reasonable stability in combination with soft rolling on the waves.
The hull construction is combination of wood/epoxy skin of Siberian pine on steel frames and steel bottom bulb. The interior is finished rather simple and practical, made of Okoumi plywood and mahagoni trimming. Semi displacement hull perform cruising speed 8 knots and maximum speed upto 17 knots. The boat is equipped with reliable Yanmar diesel engine of just 138 h.p. with hydrodrive gearbox, the fuel consumption is very low on cruising speed.
This type of hull form was tested on model in test basin and showed the good results in accordance with preliminary design calculations. The boat was prototype for further development of this hull form.
